What’s Up with Omini? Issue 8, 2017 in review
We begin with a blessing, continue with remembrance, and end with a forecast:
A Prayer of blessings for you this year:
May Love, Joy, and Gratitude light your way. May your soul know a Peace that your mind can't comprehend. May there be an ever-present smile and free flowing Laughter in your heart. May Kindness guide your words and deeds, and may every encounter offer opportunity to share it. May your mind be open to all lessons you must learn. May your days be bright. May your burden be light and may you shine your Light on all you meet. Amen
2017 a year in review:
January: We were married on January 12th,
and began the long maze of visa extensions and immigration matters.
February: Kids got their extended visas, but Leah did not.
March: Registered the Omni Foundation as a non-profit company.
April: Launched the Omni Foundation website, and published the first monthly newsletter.
May: Traveled to the United States to visit friends and family and apply for spousal visa and South African residency. We also celebrated Dylan’s 10th birthday. Cameron got to meet most of Leah's family, but more importantly, they got to meet him, and they all loved him very much!
June: Celebrated Cameron’s 52nd birthday. Took a road trip, visiting friends, tending to immigration business, and seeing sites in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Arizona (Grand Canyon), Nevada (Lake Tahoe), Grass Valley (shared Omni story and music at the United Methodist church), Woodland, and Sunnyvale (California Bay Area).
July: Celebrated Leah’s 46th birthday. Traveled to Yosemite National Park. Co-hosted an Art & Soul Reunion, sharing the Omni vision and music, and opening the stage to other artists and their visions. Received temporary resident/spousal visas, and returned to South Africa. We also began a new year of schooling for the children.
August: Opened an Omni Foundation bank account so we can now officially receive donations and do business as The Omni Foundation, NPC.
September: Focus on education and scattering seeds in your minds to grow the Omni dream.
October: Purchased a car. Celebrated Eden’s 9th birthday. Celebrated one year together as a family.
November: Registered Cameron for the Bio-Dome building workshop to take place in February 2018 in Waterval Boven, Mpumalanga.
December: Completed the Ubuntu Keepers program. Celebrated a quiet Christmas together in Graskop, and visited Cameron’s family in Johannesburg, celebrating the new year with them.
All in all, 2017 was a year of building a solid familyfoundation, birthing our Omni Foundation dreams as a legal entity, and loads of learning through our readings, which have increased our awareness and expanded our consciousness.
Coming up in January: Camping with family in the Drakensberg, celebrating Cameron’s father’s 80th birthday, and spending time in Durban, Cameron’s home town. Then making our way back to Graskop, to get back to educating, planning and building.
As for the rest of the year, besides the workshop Cameron will attend, we foresee that this will be the year we find and purchase the land on which we will begin building the bio-dome homes and structures for the Omni community.
We have seen some interest from those who would like to participate with us. We imagine that as we become more established, more people will want to become involved.
Would you like to join our family? There are many ways that will be available to participate in this vision, whether living in community, volunteering, donating, investing, purchasing product, hosting a gig/concert... Meditate on it, pray about it. Let the Spirit lead.
Infinite Blessings to All!
