BIOGRAPHY
Hello, my name is Leah.
I love to ponder, observe, read, write, learn, teach, make music, sew, grow, create, be, and love. So that is what I do.
I simply want to share by offering my thoughts, voice, music and actions to maybe open someone’s eyes, broaden a perspective, lighten a path, or soothe a soul.
It's not for the sake of wealth or fame, but for the healing and unifying of our hurting world. It begins with my family, then ventures out through my inclinations as a writer and musician, and as co-founder of The Omni Foundation, NPC.
I have yet to record a CD, but that’s a mission to accomplish as soon as I find other like-minded musicians ready and willing to harmonize and symphonize with me, and as soon as we have the funds to do so. As with all my other dreams and endeavors, it will unfold when the timing is right.
Until then, if you’d like to book me for a café-esque gig or living-room concert, donate to the recording cause, or simply drop me line, below.

WHEN HEORES DIE
When heroes die;
The ones who drew your eyes to the sky.
The ones who made you want to fly.
All you can do is cry.
When heroes rise,
For the last time into the skies,
Hold on to what they left behind; the courage to climb.
CHORUS
Farewell my hero, until I see you again.
Not looking up in admiration,
But face-to-face like a close friend.
Farewell, my hero, God rest your soul.
May your legacy live on in me, as I go.
When heroes leave, and all you can do is grieve
Look to heaven and receive the gift they given you to just believe.
When heroes journey on, though we don’t see them, they’re not gone.
Remember all the battles they won, for your freedom.
CHORUS
When heroes die; the ones who made you want to fly
All you can do is cry…
When heroes die.

BECAUSE I’M FREE
I walk with a spring in my step and a smile
In the middle of my trials, oh I got a smile
Some thinking I’m crazy, head up in the air.
Let them whisper let them stare.
Oh I don’t care
CHORUS
Because I’m free. Because I’m free.
I can live what I believe.
Because I’m free
Because I’m free
I can be who God created me to be.
Believing the promises you made are true
I have put my trust in you, to see me through.
Just trying to understand who you want me to
be or not to be for you.
It’s all for you.
CHORUS
I’m free to love, I’m free to live
I’m free to have I’m free to give.
Oh I’m free.
I’m free to laugh, I’m free to cry
I’m free to ask the reasons why.
Oh I’m free.
I’m free to rest, I’m free to play
I’m free to serve, I’m free to pray.
I’m free to do I’m free to be
And if the son shall set you free
You’ll be free indeed.
CHORUS

SAY WHAT?
Listen up if you have ears to hear,
I’ve got a message and the message is clear.
You’ve got to live to love and love to live
and shine your light and give yourself away, hey, hey
I say you’ve got to live to love and love to live
and shine your light and give yourself away.
You say, “say what? What’s that you say?
You want me to give my life away?
I say no way! I work too hard for my pay.
I’m gonna keep it to myself and save it for a rainy day hey hey!
No way! I’ve got too many bills to pay!
I’ve got stuff to do and stuff to buy and other stuff to occupy my day.
I said no way.”
Listen up if you have ears to hear
I’ve got a message and the message is clear.
You’ve got to live to love and love to live
and shine your light and give yourself away hey hey.
I say You’ve got to live to love and love to live
and shine your light and give yourself away
You say, “say what? What’s that you say?
You want me to give my life away?
You want me to forget about my worries,
and live from day to day, and pray?
You want me to live to love and love to live
shine my light and give myself away? Hey hey?
Is that what you say? Hey hey?
Well, let me think about that a minute…
Ok.”

WAKE UP!
It’s darkest just before the dawn,
Midnight hour has long come and gone.
It’s time to wake up.
There’s a haze inside your head;
Not quite ready to get up out of bed,
But the alarm said to wake up.
CHORUS
Wake up!
It’s time to open-up your eyes,
It’s time to look upon a new dawn, and see the sun rise.
Wake up!
It’s time to turn on the lights.
Put the darkness behind you
And let the light find you.
It’s time to pull away the covers,
It’s time to draw back the shades
It’s time to wake up for a brand-new day.
Joy comes in the morning,
don’t miss the coming of the sun
It’s time to wake up, I said the time has come.
CHORUS
Wake up!
It’s time to open-up your eyes!
It’s time to realize you’ve been looking at lies that blind you!
Wake up! May my siren’s song remind you
To shake off the ties that bind you
You gotta let the light find you.

BLOW ME DOWN
Hello, nice to meet you, may I greet you,
with a cool breeze and a breath of fresh air?
I come in on the wind, like a whistle or a whisper,
with a message to share.
I’m here to ruffle your feathers and rustle the pages in your book.
I’m here to get your attention, get you to take a closer look.
I’m her to fan the flames, and ignite a spark.
I’m here to sing you a song that’ll speak to your heart.
CHORUS
Well, blow me down and blow me in, I come in on the wind.
I got a message for you, I offer it up in a tune, won’t you let me in?
Allow me to brighten your light, so you can look about
without being frightened.
Then let me take your hand we’ll catch a breeze to a heightened point of view
So me and you, can see what’s true.
Come, let us reason together. We can work out our woes, whatever, whenever.
Come, let the Spirit lead, all you need is to believe
that we can make things better!
CHORUS
Blow me down and blow me in I come in on the wind.
I got a message for you, I offer it up in tune,
Won’t you let me in?
I don’t need to wrap it in metaphor,
I’ll make it clear if you’ll open the door.
Let’s stop all the fighting, start uniting,
we’re all part of something more.
Come on my sisters and brothers, the message is this:
Love one another.
I said come on my sisters and brothers, the message is this….
Love one another.

CRAZY COCKAMAMIE LADY
Sometimes, in the middle of my intensity
I consider the possibility that I might just be
A Crazy Cockamamie lady.
Who am I to think I’ve got something to say?
What if nobody wants to listen to me?
Is this all just self-delusion or did God make me this way?
Crazy Cockamamie.
But then I reconsider, what if God really did put this in me?
This desire to light a fire in people’s souls then could it be
That if I kept it to myself and denied my identity,
I might actually be, crazy cockamamie lady?
Who am I to think I got something to say?
What if nobody wants to listen to me?
Is this all just self-delusion or did God make me this way?
Let me spell it out for you:
C cuckoo cukoo cukoo
R u you really truly you? from
A to
Z
Y you gotta be so crazy? (repeat)
Crazy cockamamie
I swear I’d go crazy…
If I couldn’t be me.

HELLO SUNSHINE
Hello sunshine,
It’s so good to see you back this way again.
There were times I thought those rainy days would never end.
Oh never end.
In the morning, when I open up the blinds I see you smile,
And you beckon me to come outside and play awhile.
Oh for a while.
CHORUS
You make the rooster crow in the morning.
You make the flowers open their eyes.
You make the water perfect for splashing around,
yes you do.
On a lazy afternoon,
You warm a spot upon the carpet just for me,
Point your finger to a book and we just sit and read.
Oh, for a while.
CHORUS
In the evening, I will thank the Lord for such a lovely day,
And I’ll pray that on the morrow you’ll be back my way
So we can play.
Will I see you tomorrow?
Hope I see you tomorrow.
Won’t you come back tomorrow?

I DON"T KNOW
Wandering along in this maze of my making, and stumbling upon a path not taken
Will you tell me which way to go? ‘Cause, God, I really don’t know.
Turning my head to the left and the right,
and then over my shoulder to gaze at the sights
That I left behind me, but, God, I really can’t see.
Will you light the path before me?
Will you open up my eyes?
Will you take my hand and will you understand that
I don’t know just where I Am…?
I don’t know.
Dreaming the dreams of so many it seems
But they’re not coming true and I’ve dared to blame you.
Like a vessel of clay, asking “why’d you make me this way?”
Searching for purpose and truth, and for beauty, and digging for treasures but coming up empty.
And I’m weak and I’m weary, trying so hard to find me.
Will you take this burden from me?
Will you show me where to go?
And will you fashion me into a better likeness of you?
‘Cause I don’t know just who I Am…
I don’t know.
(bridge)
Show me who I Am and help me understand and
Show me where to go, ‘cause, God, I just don’t know.
Light the path for me. Open my eyes to see
Just where you’re leading me ‘cause I want to know
(repeat)
I don’t know....

I HONOR YOU
We don’t always see the same on how things ought to be.
Differing opinions run in every family and all society.
This is a song we sing.
Everybody enters in with their own point of view.
Some will even stand and fight for what they see is true.
This is my song for you; I notice what you do.
This song is meant to honor you.
For your willingness to fight
You live to give the very heart of you
In your search for what is right.
Few will choose to listen to what others have to say.
Some will even make believe they have the only map
and know the only way.
These are the things we say.
But if we tune our ears to one another’s reasons why.
We may come to comprehend
the greater truths of why we live and die.
This is my heart’s cry.
This song is meant to honor you.
Though we may not see the same
You live to give the very heart of you
In the path you choose to take.
The good in me, sees the good in you.
I honor you.
The good in me, sees the good in you.
I honor you.
The song I sing is the gift I bring. .
I honor you.

I GOT SOUL IN ME
Hey you walking down the street, I can see it in your eyes avoiding me
You got worries, in a hurry, no time to smile.
What’s with all the anxiety? Don’t you know if your soul were free to be happy, it would be?
Now think about that for a while. Think about that for a while.
You build up walls of guilt and shame, of fear and blame, anger and separation
But you know, what you need is illumination, for your situation.
You pull the blinds down for privacy, no one can see the spark within
That keeps you breathin’ heart a-beatin’ juices flowin’
You gotta be knowin’ it’s true….
That’s the soul in you.
If you would only get to know your soul, the one that’s buried way down underneath your ego,
The one that wants to have the say, the one that knows the only way, You gotta let it out!
You’ve been behind closed doors too long the time has come to get up, to stand out,
to knock the walls down! It’s time to be free…free to sing
Chorus
I got soul in me, and I’m a part of God.
You’ve got soul in you, and you’re a part of God too.
You gotta realize, you gotta recognize just who you are deep down inside, if you want to be real.
You gotta learn to love you and learn to love your neighbor too, it’s the thing to do, if you want to heal.
If you want to feel like singing this song.
Chorus
Bridge
Please allow me to introduce the unobtrusive, elusive but lucid truth of your soul’s identity.
The evidence is profuse if you only deduce we are used to illusions of exclusivity.
You see, the Universe is a UNI-verse, one thought, one song, one single harmonic entity!
And every part of creation, every tongue tribe and nation, every one, everything
Every single spark of energy…
Is a part of eternity… That means you and me.
We’re connected, you see. There’s no need for these walls of insecurity.
Pay no heed to the calls for disunity, it’s time for community.
It’s time to let your soul be who you were meant to be.
You’ve got soul in you….and I’ve got soul in me
And we’re a part of God.

I got a light to shine, I gotta share this Love of mine.
Repeat bridge. Back to chorus
